MTA Chairman Joe Lhota resigns; Twitter responds

ICYMI: On Friday, MTA Chairman Joe Lhota resigned — effective immediately — after just 16 months on the job. (Lhota’s other full-time job is as chief of staff of the NYU-Langone hospital system.)

Here's some more reaction to the resignation via the Twittersphere...

  1. The MTA subway system is in bad shape. They seem to perform a lot of their track and signals work on the weekends which makes it almost impossible to get anywhere on the subway. I waited about 30 minutes for the F trail to get to Brooklyn from the Delancey Street station on Saturday and when it finally arrived it was so jammed packed I had to squeeze my way in and stayed squished in until my stop. Good job Joe!!!
