Spiral up



Here's Johnny Marr with "Spiral Cities," the second single from his 2018 release Call the Comet. Perhaps an under-appreciated record from this year. (And a good live show at the Irving Plaza back in October.)

    Marr created the sound that people call "Morrissey".

    Saw Marr this past year in Warsaw. If you want to hear how Smiths' songs are meant to be played go see Marr. If you want hear Morrissey do a half-hearted version of Smiths songs, by all means, have at it.

    Marr's solo stuff is great too.
