These 'Eyes'
Here's a new video from Thick, a Brooklyn-based trio ... the track is for "Green Eyes" off the band's new EP.

I don't understand why you often post music videos/promos for bands that aren't in the E.Village, or even NYC. I suppose they could play here at some point, but isn't random music plugs outside EV remit? Yet a show like Stiv Bators documentary, at EV's Theatre 80 St Marks, about a seminal CBGB bandleader, gets no mention.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the Stiv Bators documentary! Just posted about it. Wish I had known about it much earlier. This premiere had 0 publicity.
ReplyDeleteAs for the music videos, I've been playing one on Fridays at 5 p.m. for about 10 years now. They usually don't have anything to do with this neighborhood — unless the band will be playing at an NYC venue. It's usually random — a song or band that I like.
Before EVG I had a blog that was mostly music videos — some obscure 80s stuff ... this is one tiny leftover from that since-deleted site.
I love this weekly feature and could care less whether the bands have ties to the East Village. It's fun to see what kind of music you like. I know most of the artists you post, but Thick is new to me, so thanks for sharing!
