Avenue A Copy Center & Shipping Outlet has closed
After three-plus years, the Avenue A Copy Center & Shipping Outlet has closed at 47 Avenue A between Third Street and Fourth Street (in one of the retail spaces of the Ageloff Towers).
As you can see, workers have started clearing out the space...
The Copy Center was an annex run by the owners of Essex Card Shop at 39 Avenue A. You can now head there a block to the south for your copy and shipping needs in this part of the neighborhood...

Essex Card Shop has been disappointing me and my husband for a few years now. Although we buy things there on a regular basis, an employee has started to follow us when we are shopping. And for the last two years in a row we asked them to order us a calendar in a specific size. They already carry the brand, and had gotten it for us in the past. Now they can't be bothered. We actively support a lot of small businesses in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeletei love essex card and wish them all the luck in the world. thank goodness it is still here!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous 8:29pm. I want to support East Village local but don’t always have the best experience in this shop. It’s hit or miss, sometimes the employees make me feel uncomfortable or are down-right grumpy. Wish they could be kinder like the employees in other East Village establishments.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous re Essex Card, I love this place and grateful it survives.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a bad experience with Essex Card Shop and the workers have always been great; guess I should shop here more often.
