Noted, You Pigs Edition

EVG reader Boxysean shares this photo of a bag of bags on the fence along Tompkins Square Park at Seventh and B... and the bag has a message written on it:

Here's some bags to pick up after your dogs you pigs

  1. This crap fest is getting worse by the day, but what about the smell from the dog run? I passed by there yesterday and almost passed out. The odor is like a combination of warm compost and ammonia. How about a giant can of Glade air freshener and some Air Wick Stick Ups? The only thing that smells worse is the area on the southern end of East River Park where they clean out the Port-o-Potties. Gross!

  2. But the question to Parks is, if you cant seem to renovate a small section of park in Tompkins Square (how long has this been closed), how can we expect you to renovate, raise, replant, and reopen, in a timely manner, a much larger East River Park?

Your actions speak louder than your words (at least at the last several community board meetings where you promised all will be done in 3.5 years).

  3. Yes. And don't litter, spit, scream, play loud music, jaywalk, steal, run red lights, cut lines, text and drive, text and walk, etc., etc., etc.

Call me when the Unicorns arrive.

    1. I’m going to stick my neck out here, and say, No, most of us don’t litter, spit, scream, play loud music, STEAL, run red lights, cut lines, or text and drive. And even if we did, we should be prosecuted, and it would still be no excuse for you to not properly dispose of feces. It’s like saying you shouldn’t be prosecuted for environmental pollution, because someone else didn’t pay a parking ticket. There is no excuse for poor public hygiene.

  4. Do unicorns take a dump on sidewalks and do their princesses not pick up those rainbow colored turds? The sign creator is correct, only pigs don't pick up their pet's shit.

  5. someone else will pick it up. The Millennial mantra.

Its ok to step on other people's toes. The Millennial theme song.

  6. Shouldn’t leaving any form of animal excrement in any public place where many people gather be considered a crime? If someone left that poop outside your doorway the police would call it harassment, yet dog owners get away with their dogs defiling any curb or walkway in the park that they wish And they all know that they are doing it.
