Thanks for sharing this. I hope they catch him. I was walking by that church on the corner of 7th and 3rd Avenue recently, and there was a man out front preaching against sins including gay marriage. I wanted to say something, but I was afraid to because I was by myself. I don't know if he has anything to do with the church officially, or if he is a parishioner, but I was shocked to hear someone talking like that in the East Village.
ReplyDeleteHorrifying. Even in a liberal world mecca such as Manhattan, there are still hateful and homophobic people walking amongst us. As a gay man, I find this distressing to say the least, especially since I am a resident of Alphabet City My mind immediately races to the present divide in our country with regards towards race, immigration, and socioeconomic backgrounds where Mr. Cheeto is stirring the pot from the White House, encouraging people to stake their own claim, and subsequently granting others full permission to go after whomever they want with no consequences because they fail to see and accept someone different from them, someone they presume to be threatened by for no apparent reason. What a sad world we live in I hope law enforcement will find this pathetic twit and charge him.
