Leaving Las Vegas: the Lions & Tigers & Squares signage has arrived
The glitzy signage arrived yesterday for the Lions & Tigers & Squares pizzeria on the northeast corner of Second Avenue and 10th Street...

Those who saw the new sign noted its Las Vegas-Times Square vibe ... though it's a match with the shop's Chelsea location.

Lions & Tigers & Squares, a Detroit-style pizzeria from the Artichoke team, opened back on Oct. 11.

Tacky!
ReplyDeleteAn obvious attempt to grab tourists eyes.
ReplyDeleteI guess that fire engine red storefront just wasn’t loud enough. The neon part is fine, but what’s up with the sequined background? Maybe they want the late night drunks to think it’s also a strip joint.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought disco was dead.
ReplyDeleteAte there the other night, was good.
ReplyDeleteOoof, not sure who ok'd that.
ReplyDeleteI had their pizza recently. The regular slices aren't bad. Stay away from the chopped cheese unless you want a slice covered in salty ketchup. If you do go for it, get the cherry peppers on the side.
Tried the pizza, it was really good. Will definitely go back and could care less about the sign or color of the building.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a disco-era sports bar.
ReplyDeleteVery Staten Island, coincidentally the home of the owners.
ReplyDeletePassed by this place tonight and liked the neon sign. Let there be neon!

Live on 2nd Ave. Love the sign. Kids love it too. Brightens up the day. Love the liveliness. Best of luck Lions and Tigers.
ReplyDeleteActually, looks like a "gentleman's club" that should be located on 11th Avenue. I'd expect to find a dancer's pole featured.
ReplyDeleteDetroit Pizzaz!
ReplyDeleteI ordered a couple pizzas from this place the other night and they were pretty good. The sign is bad enough that I will not be ordering again, though! This is not something I want to see in the neighborhood. It’s hideous.
ReplyDeleteI thought the pizzas were alright but honestly when is pan pizza ever terrible? I implore people to support Village Square, though... They are quietly putting out some of the best square slices in the city.
