East Village Organic now closed until April 10

Last Friday, we noted that East Village Organic was closing for the next week on First Avenue between Seventh Street and St. Mark's Place.

Unfortunately for EVO fans, the closure has been extended for another week, as the sign outside the market notes.

    Best wishes to EVO and the business they have built. The sign suggests that you will be open for April 10 only? I know you meant well by saying you would like to see us all but I trust you will not permit too many customers to enter at one time with your narrow aisles...

    Not good. A lot of others are slowing closing: ex. 9th st + 2nd ave deli, (probably others I haven't yet noticed) ...
    This is not good gping forward.
