Grant Shaffer's NY See
Here's the latest NY See panel, East Village-based illustrator Grant Shaffer's observational sketch diary of things that he sees and hears around the neighborhood... this panel goes back to March, when the preventative measures against COVID-19 were in the early bonkers phase...

Your remarks and lively debates are welcome, whether supportive or critical of the views herein. Your articulate, well-informed remarks that are relevant to an article are welcome.
However, commentary that is intended to "flame" or attack, that contains violence, racist comments and potential libel will not be published. Facts are helpful.
If you'd like to make personal attacks and libelous claims against people and businesses, then you may do so on your own social media accounts. Also, comments predicting when a new business will close ("I give it six weeks") will not be approved.
I'd say we're still in the early bonkers phase -
ReplyDeletePerfect. There is so much of the "I heard" information flying around these days because our leaders don't have a coherent message, so the public is left to figure it out on our own. I have a cousin who says she doesn't need to wear a mask and that going back to the gym is safe now because "she heard" that masks don't work, but somehow wiping down gym equipment does. She's a mother of two, and no one in the family can seem to convince her she is wrong, because she choses to trust what "she heard" over what doctors and scientists are telling us. As smart as she is, it turns out she's really stupid.
ReplyDeleteYou should especially microwave your change. Best to use a friend's microwave, of course. Or, better, an enemy's.
