Renovations at Atlas Cafe

Updated 11 a.m.: Ownership says that they are renovating, per Derek Berg. Headline changed to reflect that.

Atlas Cafe has been dark throughout the COVID-19 pause. Yesterday, someone put the contents from the mostly-empty restaurant out on the curb here on Second Avenue between Fourth Street and Fifth Street...

The Atlas phone number is no longer in service... and the website is offline.

The restaurant, which serves reliable vegan (and non-vegan) menu items with a Moroccan vibe, first opened in 1999.

  1. Is this Atlas related to the one on W4 and Mercer? If so, any updates to that location?

  2. Sadly Little Poland also has been closed the entire time of the covid 19 pause and has not reopen for phase 2. Hopefully the staff and owners are just taking a long vacation.

  4. Not sure if they were telling the truth, but I asked one of the workers yesterday and they said they were opening back up next week.

  5. I was speaking to the owner yesterday. He said they're cleaning out, starting fresh. He said they'll be open soon. One of the guys who owned/worked their when they first opened (10 years ago or so?) was there as well and said he's coming back. The stuff that was on the sidewalk is back inside the place today. I don't think they're closing.
