Derek Berg had a close encounter this morning with one of Amelia and Christo's juvenile red-tailed hawks in Tompkins Square Park...

  1. I saw someone almost get nailed by one of the hawks in flight above one of the paths on Sunday! They had to duck!

  3. Birdwatching etiquette: Don't get so close that you flush the bird (cause it to fly off) and thus ruin the opportunity for other appreciators.
