Noted

And from the Notes in the Lobby: After Hours Edition... this note in an East Village lobby is a little NSFW, so...

To the thieves in this building.

I will find out who you are.

Where I come from BITCH

we cut your fucking hands off

and mail it to your family.

You like stealing from hardworking people, huh?

The one who took less than 20 mins to take

my package, I hope you enjoy wearing my underwear.

[Etc. Etc. Etc.]

I WILL FIND YOU Degenerate.

I curse your hands and your blood line.

Thanks to Mark White for the photo! I think!

  1. [Two days later: "To whom it may concern: my sincere apologies for the note I posted yesterday. Turns out that my sweet old neighbor (we call her Auntie Em) took my Amazon Prime package into her apartment for safekeeping, and let me know about it today. Please don't cancel me."]

  2. Considering how prevalent package theft is in this city, it's surprising more people don't have a better plan for foiling the thieves.

(This rash of package thefts is spawning some pretty creative poetry, though!)

Anonymous @7:50 PM Thanks for clearing that up! Good ol' Auntie Em was being a mensch, and I really hope you didn't put a hex on her p...y!

  4. Once the smoked domes appeared in our lobby the pilfering greatly abated.

The misdelivered Amazon stuff keeps piling up and they don't take it away. I'll bring misdelivered USPS stuff to a neighbor, but I'm not going to pick up after bezos.

  5. Now that is a NOTE. Also, a pox on the thieves house.

  6. People feel strongly about their La Perla!

  7. Just put up stickers in the lobby and on the front door that the area is under video surveillance. If that doesn't scare them away then I’’m not sure that writing them a nasty letter full of medieval-style threats and taping it to the wall will either,

  8. A while back there was a youtuber who set up a trap for package thieves. It sprayed glitter all over the place, and took pictures of them..

  9. I guess not having those panties ruined a hoped for very romantic evening. Remember sexy is all in the mind.

  10. I like this writer. I hope they get some freelance gigs writing notes for other buildings.

  11. I feel the writers frustration. The worst part of it is when the package is marked delivered by the carrier you have very little hopes of getting a refund or a replacement from the seller.

  12. Several comments:
    1. Any package can be replaced. If you just call the company and tell them you never received it, they will usually refund or replace the item at no extra cost. So chill.
    2. The person who wrote this note is a really awful person based upon the language and level of hate displayed over such a small issue. I can only imagine the violence that would materialize if the issue were actually something deeper. Hopefully this person does not have access to any weapons.
    3. If the apology I read above from anonymous is real, then it just proves my last point....this person was so enraged that accusations, threats and curses, both vulgar and witchcraft style were levied with no evidence of any type.
So...if your package isn't there...just chill, call the vendor and explain in a nice and polite voice what happened. Most will do what the can to rectify the issue

  13. I know the writing of a demon when I see it! I rebuke you demon! In the meantime I will be casting a protection spell that will cover all panties and panty wearers that reside within a radius of 33 miles of this demon writer. This protection order also has partial protection for panties worn by the elderly.

  14. The writer should have had a snickers bar before putting pen to paper.

Spelling and grammar are appalling. But I approve the sentiment!
