UPS delivering a retail outlet to 1st Avenue

A UPS Store is coming this fall to 108 First Ave. between Sixth Street and Seventh Street. (And good timing in case the U.S. Postal Service collapses.)

Until March 2018, this storefront next to the McDonald's had been a Subway (sandwich shop) for six foot-long years.

  1. Funny how our Congress critters seem to have forgotten in 2006 how they forced the post office to prepay 75 YEARS of benefits. And then overnight they've decided the post office must be responsible for the election. It is ok to sit around drinking in unmasked groups in dense herds, but can't wait in a socially distanced line to vote?

  2. East Village Postal on First Avenue 9/10 has been our go to postal place for ages. Through ownership changes etc. Like most people us we support local merchants where there is a choice.
