Mid-morning snow photo break

As seen on 14th Street and First Avenue this morning exiting the L train... not sure what's going on ... and why members of the NYPD counterterrorism unit are here...

  3. A rise of far right domestic terrorists should be a clue here and this area is pretty diverse.

  6. They're here because De Blasio, McShea, and Cuomo all love adding strolling, loitering cops to the subway system. Except there's not much for them to do other than burn a tax payer dollar. The counter-terrorism unit is being used against the citizens they're supposed to protect. Just as this summer this unit was used to attack Black Lives Matter protest groups.

  7. @1:56pm: How cavalier of you! You must be aware of how many people have been attacked on subway platforms, on subway steps, and in the trains themselves. People pushed onto tracks, stabbed, threatened, etc. This is not a joke to anyone.

I HOPE the police *do* flood the subway system and protect the average person who's just trying to get to/from work.
