A good sign at Little Poland

When Gov. Cuomo announced that indoor dining was expanding to 50-percent capacity on March 19, several East Village bars and restaurants said that they'd reopen ... including Little Poland on Second Avenue. 

In an Instagram post on March 10, the diner between 12th Street and 13th Street said that they were preparing to open its doors once again.... for the first time since the PAUSE of March 2020.

And in another positive sign, Little Poland is now hiring for several positions... 
It will be nice to have them back ... Little Poland first opened in 1985.

    @Vidal It’s the attitude that makes you enjoy the food even more LOL. Actually the waitresses that were there just before they shut down last year were pretty great. Long ago they had a kid who was more interested in looking at his phone than waiting on the tables, and the waitresses gave hm a hard time about his inattentiveness, but he is long gone. I cant wait to have their delicious pierogies and potato pancakes back again, this is great news.

    I wanted to like them but had repeatedly bad experiences there. I'm with Vidal on this. Come back and be better.

    Their delivery man was the friendliest, kindest person I've had the pleasure of meeting. Never once chastised me for ordering the same omelette from 2 blocks away. Always gave extra apple sauce for latkes. Just a gem.

    I've been eating there since it opened as Bruno's, and if you wanted to talk about bad attitude, his was on display daily; he was a real son of a bitch to staff and clientele alike. In all those years I never once had a bad experience with the waitresses (never dealt with the guy on the phone), who were always friendly and professional when interacting with me. But even if they weren't, who cares? I go there for the (relatively) cheap and delicious food in massive quantities, I don't need eternal friendship along with my white borscht.

    Everyone and everything was great there. They make their own bread, and the apple cake was delicious. At the end of the day that place is a diner, not a bottomless mimosa college spot

    Welcome back. Anyone who complains does not know what we have here and would probably be better off elsewhere. These are wonderful people.
