Sunday's opening shots

Spring morning views from Tompkins Square Park (and from yesterday when there was better morning light ...)

  1. Well at least we’ll have some plant life that won’t be trampled by mobs of park goers.

  2. I walked by the park yesterday from 10th to 7th along B, and then up 7th to A, and was shocked to see that all the shrubs and greenery that used to run along the fence line and into the areas beyond have been removed, leaving large, ugly swathes of dirt. Not what one expects to see in a park setting, and I am wondering what the hell happened?
