[Updated] Today in notes about a kitten stuck in your car's engine

An EVG reader shared this photo... of a note left on a car parked along 10th Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue...
Alert! Please know that there is a kitten stuck in your engine.
I heard it crying last night and it couldn't come out.

A reader shared this photo from last night... the NYPD responded to a call about the kitten ... they were spotted searching for the kitten under the hood...

  1. I hope the kitten is ok. Come to think of it I have not seen any stray cats or dogs in a long long time.

  2. This happened to me about two years ago! Someone left a similar sign on my cr. NYPD ESU helped get the cat out of my car - it took quite some coaxing.

They finally safely got it out and all it did was run into the car parked in front of mine - which was of course locked.

So I moved the sign to the next car and moved my car across town.

  3. Welcome news. But I confess the story dredged up from the depths of my mind the “Kitty From the Tree” scene in Police Academy. Worries me what else is down there...
