I'm a life long practicing Catholic (albeit of the very liberal, social justice leaning sort). I do have to say though that this sort almost fanatical pagentry makes me very uneasy. I can't help but discern hints on anti-semitism any time such pageants are played out. And I have to wonder how the LGBTQ Community(with which I identify as a Gay Catholic)feels when something like this passes by. And in the first photo - if that's the priest leading it - he looks a bit young to be all done up in that pre-Vatican II garb. Just an observation as seeing that sort of procession just desn't sit right with me.
