Here's more about Lot Stop via the chainlet's website:
We pride ourselves on offering name brands at the lowest price possible. Our close-out buying team sources deals nationally every week enabling us to provide incredible bargains.
As the world was transitioning to online shopping, we did not want our neighborhoods to lose the convenience and feeling of connection that comes with a "brick-and-mortar" shopping experience. We study trends, popular name brand items, and necessities to provide the same merchandise as superstores and online giants, at better prices. We take pride in carefully choosing our locations to create an asset to the community through stellar employees and developing lasting relationships with the many who shop here.
We did a little pre-opening window shopping and noted a large variety of hand soap, mouthwash, dishwashing liquid... not to mention Valentine's Day gifts and Glade Air Freshener Spray — Ginger Spice Oh So Nice (8 ounces for 99 cents)...
The Duane Reade closed here in November 2019.
Lot Stop is the second discount shop to open in the EV this spring... joining USA Super Stores in the former Duane Reade on Third Avenue and 10th Street.
Their prices are good, and the store seemed bright and clean. Hope it works out for them.
ReplyDeleteThe store looks clean and well stocked. Definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood! I always found the Duane Reade to be redundant when there was a CVS literally next door.
ReplyDeleteThe variety is amazing. Its a good store to go to when you're not sure where to go for something that another store may or may not have. However, not sure if the mention of lowest price possible is correct. I bought Glass cleaner at Key Food and was in this store the same day. I paid $3.59 at Key Food so I checked the price at LotStop and it was priced at $4.99--same exact thing (I looked carefully).
ReplyDeleteOn average, their prices are not very impressive. Maybe one or two good deals. And as of stock and layout, I find the USA one on 3rd Ave more appealing.
ReplyDeleteAlot of prices are more expensive than elsewhere. Coffee pot at 99 cent store down a few blocks? 15.99 and here? 30.00
ReplyDeleteNothing I saw was nay cheaper. Its not a great bargain spot like the lot less on 14th & 6th Ave
