Milk Burger signage arrives on Houston

The Milk Burger signage has arrived at 321 E. Houston St. between Attorney and Ridge. (Thanks Stacie Joy for the pic!)

The quick-serve burger joint with an outpost in the Bronx was OK'd for a liquor license here back in February. 

You can check out their menu (burgers! fries! milkshakes!) right here. 

No word on an opening date just yet. Owner Erik Mayor was hiring as of early May.

El Maguey y La Tuna closed here in 2018 after the landlord reportedly doubled the rent.

    I really miss El Maguey y La Tuna. Best Mexican food in the city IMHO.

    The name of this place is somewhat off-putting, but I'll withhold judgement until I try it.

    It’s called Milk Burger because they sell Milk Shakes and Burgers. Anthony Bourdain praised them on the NYtimes. I’ll definitely be checking them out.

    Well what do you know, 5 stars and 100 reviews later! Rock on Milk Burger! Thank you for bringing your delicious burgers to the Lower East Side. My family loves the food! Such a nice addition to the neighborhood. Keep up the good work!
