Signage alert: Red Onion on 10th Street

Signage for Red Onion arrived this week at 277 E. 10th St. between Avenue A and First Avenue.

As previously noted, Red Onion will be a health-focused Indian restaurant. No word on an opening date yet. In the meantime, you can check out their website here.

The previous food establishments here — Chichen Itzá and Tompkins Village Cafe — only lasted a few weeks each.

  1. Love their menu. A little on the pricey side but a lot of items I have long been searching for look to be here, so I’m happy. And they have an actual clay oven tandoor.

  2. Sad that all the Indian restaurants on East 6th street disappeared. It was a great strip. Excellent food, great prices, and the people were always so friendly.
