Noted

There is still room for one or two more sets of initials here on this fresh patch of sidewalk on Second Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street — hurry!

  1. I love this. I hope they don't pave it over.

  2. That's actually pretty cool. Only thing missing is a skinhead leaving an impression of his boot stomp.

  3. Not sure about anyone else, but having countless people step on my name....not to mention the dogs.....isn't exactly what I think I want.

  4. These new areas are all where the phone booths used to be. First it was the booth removal with the two pipes left behind. Now they are removing the two pipes and putting in new pavement. It's all over my area too.

  5. As someone who has had to supervise freshly poured cement for a sidewalk repair... People suck. You pay a *lot* to do this (if the city doesn't do it) and you want it to be done well and last a while. You don't want people doing *this* to it. So what ends up happening is you have to spend hours watching cement dry. If you walk away for like ten min someone's putting their name in. They can pour their own cement if they want their name in it.
