Monday's parting shot (aka June 5)

EVG reader roflo shared this photo today from Fourth Street between Avenue C and Avenue D... where there was a stash of Christmas trees discarded on the sidewalk.

Per Roflo: "Maybe 10 in all, some still with stands. No idea what kind of Christmas time capsule this was… but it smells fantastic, like Christmas in June."

  1. How can we compost those trees? Can the LES Ecology Center help? Tragic they weren’t added to the city’s tree recycling back in JANUARY

  2. Everytime I see one of these posts I feel equal parts less ashamed of the dead christmas tree on my fire escape and more worried about the ev grieve post to come when I at last one day put it on the curb. Thanks roflo for the reminder.

    1. You could turn yourself in the day you finally toss it so you get credit along with the shame!
