It's a marketing campaign for "Cobell Energy," Adam McKay's new short-form series on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube.
And it may have been slightly more effective if they spelled Tompkins correctly.

However, commentary that is intended to "flame" or attack, that contains violence, racist comments and potential libel will not be published. Facts are helpful.
If you'd like to make personal attacks and libelous claims against people and businesses, then you may do so on your own social media accounts. Also, comments predicting when a new business will close ("I give it six weeks") will not be approved.
Between this and the snafu between McKay and Will Ferrell, I feel like his stock is dropping. I can't think of a comedy creator who needs this kind of viral marketing less than Adam McKay. Spelling mistake aside, this would've been really interesting if it was an up and coming creator but in this case I'll wait to see if it's worth the time.
