A moment with Marianne Faithfull on St. Mark's Place in 1992

Faithfull died yesterday. She was 78.

  1. Poor thing. Marianne was what the Bits call a proper face back in the day. Better singer than Madonna, better looking than Heidi Klum. Best version of Sister Morphine which she co-wrote with Mick Jagger. Campiest version of I Got You Babe with David Bowie (google it ) 1980 Floor Show. Talk about people who suffered and struggled for fame. Ostracized for getting caught with dope, heroin addict, homeless, breast cancer, CV-19 and on and on. And through all that she aged gracefully. She Walks In Beauty, indeed. RIP............
