Cat power: Crowdfunding to keep Ollie's Place open on 9th Street

Via the EVG inbox...
Ollie's Place Cat Adoption Center, part of Mighty Mutts Inc. (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit), urgently needs your support to continue its life-saving mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for cats in need throughout New York City. A fully volunteer-run group, it can no longer meet the rising expenses of rent, food, and veterinary care.

Without support, Ollie’s cannot renew the lease and continue to save the cats who desperately need help. A special donor has offered to match 100% of proceeds raised in this GoFundMe! This is an opportunity of epic proportions for our cats! We are looking for large donors to help us reach this goal and to provide on-going funding as well.
Find the CrowdFunding link here

Ollie's Place us at 430 E. Ninth St. between Avenue A and First Avenue. You can follow them on Instagram to learn more about our mission and adoptable cats.

Our donations are doubled thanks to a special donor who has offered to match 100% of the proceeds raised in this GoFundMe. That's huge; many thanks to that special donor!

I have been a volunteer at Ollies since the summer of 2023. It is such an incredible place to work at with such a beautiful menagerie of cats to take care of. Anything that you can donate helps out a ton. Let’s do everything to keep this place open. Thanks.

Ollies doesn't have big corporate donors to build fancy facilities but it's got a team of dedicated volunteers that always make me feel welcome when I stop by. It is a spot where I can casually pet cats and recharge. The cats and people there make me believe in humanity. We need places like this to make this neighborhood vital.

This is so true about Ollie’s place! I was there just this past weekend to donate some Much needed wet cat food. After reading this original post by EV grieve, I made a monetary donation to this very important cause and I’m hoping that anyone with the means to be able to monetarily contribute takes this opportunity to do so πŸ™πŸ»
