Day 1 of the free shows commemorating the 37th anniversary of the Tompkins Square Park police riot of Aug. 6, 1988, got off to an epic start yesterday with an — shall we say? — energetic crowd.

Day 2 starts this afternoon with music expected at 2 p.m.
Not my cuppa tea but it looks like THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT! Glad to see happy faces enjoying music in our park. Come through, next gen!
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can deduce, there are apparently a dozen or so of people that were actually at the original riot. To quote the late, great Joe Strummer, "I want a riot of my own" or is it "Should I stay or should I go".
