If it's the middle of November, then it must be time for Christmas trees at Whole Foods Market® Bowery

EVG reader Chris F. shares these photos from outside Whole Foods Market® Bowery... where he wrote that "the entire front of the store [is] lined with Christmas trees, caged behind the scaffolding, as if waiting for the word to be released onto the sidewalk."

I think there is a piece about the Five Families of NYC Christmas tree sidewalk vending tonight (?) at DOCNYC.

Whole Foods sells their Christmas trees under cost as a loss leader to draw people into their stores; that is why they are cheaper thank the ones at the small stands (and why the small stands are disappearing)...I think it is much better to support a small stand that pays the farmers a fair price if you can
