The disappearing docking stations of Avenue A

We received reports from readers that the Citi Bike docking stations have been removed from Avenue A at 14th Street (top photo by Eve Smith) and from Avenue A between 11th Street and 12th Street...
These two are not listed on the Citi Bike's most recent list of station changes

These removals are likely temporary. Citi Bike docks are often pulled up for roadwork or utility projects — and there's currently a DOT "no parking" notice posted on Avenue A between 11th Street and 12th Street.
For the moment, Citi Bike riders may have to expand their docking radius.

People of Ave A don't deserve to dock.

they should remove all of the Citi Bike docks. the streets in the East Village are too busy. if you wanna ride a bike, fine. buy one and keep it in your apartment

I agree completely with this comment.

That would be too cost efficient, the city believes in frivolous spending. City spending is a black hole.

That was some nasty mud under there, black plague type sludge.

Fine, all the Citi Bike stations will be removed after the car owners relocate their vehicles to parking garages and stop using our public space for personal vehicle storage.

I don’t understand why they can’t update their website when this happens. Or, crazy idea, post some advance notice of the outage…making the MTA look good!
