RIP Hell Ride, now in skateboard heaven
EVG reader Elliot noted that the Parks Department trashed the newly double-wide Hell Ride in the multipurpose courts/TF in Tompkins early this morning.

ReplyDeleteI only assumed it was Parks. I was walking home from PureGym and observed them stomping it to pieces, then loading it into a Sanitation truck.
ReplyDeleteAs recounted to a local skater via DM screenshot on IG [now deleted], the ramp was removed because the @volonyc organizers complained: "Yes, we complained. Our players, and a lot of other people who actually use that court, complained. The Hell Ride was taking up way too much space and blocking a public, multi-use court from being used for basketball. It's not a skatepark, it's a shared space. We pushed for it to be addressed, and it was. So yeah—we complained, and
