Checking in on 20 Blocks on 4th Street

20 Blocks, a sandwich shop at 215 E. 4th St., between Avenue A and Avenue B, officially opened its doors in mid-August.

Run by NYC natives Jack August (who lives in the EV) and William "Willy" Corman, the shop has been a hit over the past 6-8 weeks.
Expect to find a few people waiting outside by the 11 a.m. opening bell most days, with sandwiches often selling out early.
The streamlined menu focuses on high-end signature builds, including a Beef & Broc and a house-roasted turkey with fried tomatoes. Expect a new sandwich creation each week.

During our visit, we spotted Adam Zhu (middle), a friend of the two owners, who was helping out during the opening...
And from the kitchen... (lead line cook Alex Lutsky) ...
... to the dining room...
Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out). Closed Monday and Tuesday.

  1. It would really be great if they get serious and close later than 2PM
