Harvest time at 6&B

The 6th Street and Avenue B Community Garden is hosting its 43rd annual Harvest Fest on Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m.

The community garden, on the southwest corner of Avenue B and Sixth Street, will have free food and live music throughout the afternoon.

The annual raffle returns as well, with prizes donated by neighborhood businesses. Tickets remain $1 and go on sale outside the garden starting at 11:30 a.m., earlier than in previous years. Proceeds benefit the garden.

The BioBus will also be parked outside with community science activities for kids, while the Lower East Side Ecology Center will distribute small bags of compost for neighbors to take home.

The garden has the full list of raffle-prize donors on its website (scroll down to find it).
