Hell yeah, it's HoJo's

Thanks to reader/frequent commenter Mick for passing along the url to HoJoLand, a comprehensive Web site devoted to the history of Howard Johnson's. The last HoJo's closed on Times Square on July 9, 2005 (first photo below). As HoJoLand points out, there were 10 HoJo's in Manhattan at one point...

  2. Thanks for this link. I love all of the photos. I miss the Howard Johnson's in Times Square so much. When I was a kid, we'd only eat at and stay at Howard Johnson's when we took our annual drive to Florida in the summer, and when I moved to New York, I loved going to the one in Times Square. A lot of good memories.
