The 1976 version of "King Kong" is playing on AMC these days. It's fun in that hey-here's-an-awful-movie-playing-now-on-AMC-and-don't-Jessica-Lange-and-Jeff-Bridges-make-a-nice-couple? kind of way.
I was sitting and having a beer in Madison Square Park when I saw the ad in the Daily News that that night they needed non-payed volunteers for the King Kong movie filming at the WTC. I thought about it but like hell was I going to go that far downtown. I got another beer and continued my paper reading.
