Superdive is opening Thursday or Friday, the 25th or the 26th

Thursday is the 25th. Friday is the 26th. So is the bar opening Thursday, June 25, or Friday, June 26?

  1. [What do you expect, they're Super Morons to begin with.]

I am Super Stoked for this opening.

  2. I honestly don't understand how this "mix your own drinks" thing is going to work. The gastrochic site said it's BYOB, but is that even legal? And if it's BYOB, how are they going to make any money? And if it's NOT BYOB, how are they going to make any money when its patrons will surely be spilling liquor everywhere and pouring themselves new drinks every five minutes because they drunkenly misplaced the first ones?!

I have a feeling it's just going to turn into a standard, shitty bar after a couple weeks of alcohol poising, broken furniture, street noise, and no one tipping the waitresses or ordering $200 kegs of Chimay.

  11. when bars say "mix your own drink" it usually means that you order a drink from the bartender, you pay, they give you a glass with ice and your alcohol in it. you then take this alcohol and ice glass over to table with "mixers" and "mix yourself a drink." some bars do a make your own bloody mary and it's kinda bad ass except for the fact that i don't want to mix my own damn drink and want the bartender to do it for me. if i wanted to mix my own drink, i'd have made drinks at home.

    but whatever.

also - there's no door policy. they let in *everybody* (ie: i doubt there's a list for opening night or any other night).

i really dislike misuse of exclamation points. there's not one other punctuation mark but THREE exclamation marks, why?!? heh - amusing myself now.

  13. maybe Thursday June 26th is a cute (read: obnoxious) way of implying that it'll be after midnight on Thursday night? I feel like I'm maybe I'm giving them too much credit.
