My blue Manhattan

When you see the new window display that went up yesterday at the Morrison Hotel Gallery on the Bowery, you'll figure someone is having a little fun with all of us...

A gallery worker told a tourist out front that this was simply "the artist's statement," and that she did not know what it meant. Uh-huh.

And, if you don't know already, the artist is Ryan Adams.

  1. i am not sure what to make of this. it seems like something a child would do. maybe that's intentional? is it ironic?

  2. I'm confused...it would make more sense to say "The Bowery is for bums, not Designer Ramen" but maybe I'm missing the point entirely.

  5. I'll be the one doing watermelon vodka jello shots, playing the greatest hits of Ryan Adams back-to-back on the juke.

  6. Wow! If he is an artist, I have some great stuff on the fridge that he should check out.. Waste of paint, I hope he used acrylics, and left to oils to the real artists.

  7. I am stunned that the gallery worker said she didn't know what it meant. I thought we had higher than usual unemployment, but clearly there is a job for everyone.
