The Times takes us on a vinyl-shopping tour of the East Village, from Other Music to Academy Records. The piece ends with a stop at St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery, where you can "watch the local tramps with bottles in brown bags come and go from the front steps."

Why that last detail was necessary in an article about buying vinyl is a baffler...mcuh like the Times itself...
ReplyDeleteThey left out Gimme Gimme Records on east 5th street..Oh well, I guess if I wasn't getting soused at the St. Marks Church I could have directed them there!
