200 block of Avenue A, after 8 p.m., Nov. 19

Walking on Avenue A between 12th Street and 14th Street last night around 8:15, noticed modest crowds at Drop-Off Service, Common Ground and Destination (below)...

...and at Superdive...

  3. I've noticed SuperDive seeming empty lately too, but I also suspect that 8:15 is way too early to make a judgement.

  4. True, Jill — 8:15 is pretty early....though most other places I walked by from 7:30-8:30 had a crowd, whether or not there were happy hour specials... and I recall crowds at SD early on Thursdays during the summer... Seems odd that not one person would be inside the bar along a busy corridor on a Thursday night...

  8. I doubt that the Dolphins/Panthers game would have affected business that much. 7B was pretty packed, but I left there around midnight.

I thought Thursday was the new Friday!
