Meanwhile, here's a screenshot of Ray's from "What About Me" by East Village filmmaker Rachel Amodeo. She wrote, directed and starred in "What About Me, which was filmed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, with a release in 1993.
Wouldn't it make more sense to give the money directly to Ray for his living expenses at this point? Realistically speaking, while the fundraisers may be able to keep the store open for now, the store is (very sadly) going to have to close at some point in the near future. I'd rather see the money go to help him out directly rather than to simply postpone the inevitable.

I agree with Alexandra. We can't raise $4,000 a month (and that's the minimum of what he needs) to keep Ray's store going and Ray is nearing 80 years old. I would rather hold onto my money and give it to him when the store shuts down and he needs money to live. It would be great if he could keep his apartment because his rent is only $650.
