Trouble on the F stop on Houston/First Avenue this morning?

From a reader:

What was going on this am at 1st ave and Houston subway station? Tons of cops, ambulances etc. Cop cars were almost blocking Houston, and some people looked pretty shook up.

We haven't heard anything. Anyone?

Update:
Saw this on Twitter: Expected 20min delay to to work extends to 40min. Brought to you buy the IDIOTS fighting on the F train. Happy Hump Day

  2. Thanks, anon. I suggested this to reader — but he said the grim looks on people's faces made it seem like more than a drill.

  3. Well I guess that answers my question. Must have been some fight, there was some moderate commotion.

  4. A little late to respond to this, but I just saw it. It wasn't construction or fighting. Around 7:30 AM a man attacked 2 women in the platform above the tracks. I saw the aftermath of the first and saw him attack the second. It was incredibly scary. Thankfully, someone had called the cops before I had gotten there and a police officer was there quickly and they pulled away the attacker and handcuffed him. I never learned how it started. Just a reminder to always be aware.
