And we're off... noticed a few people waiting in line at Kim's on First Avenue a little bit ago...

was in there earlier, and was glad to see how packed it was.
ReplyDeleteKim's opened at 10am. I got on line at Other Music 10:30 (for 11am opening), and the line was already about 80 people deep. Number of folks went to Kim's first and then came to Other Music. Went to Kim's later (around 12:30), and they still had a lot of good stuff (eg, Velvet Underground, Live 1969 reissue!).
ReplyDeleteAlso went to Generation, Rockit Scientist, A-1, and Academy (where Stephen Merritt of Magnetic Fields was hanging out with his dog).
