RIP Deno's Party House

Sad news, friends... Deno's Party House, the sketchorama bikini bar near Madison Square Garden on Eighth Avenue, has closed. When, we have no idea...we just discovered for ourselves last night...The NYC sanitizing continues. Sure, Deno's have had their problems with the law in the past...

...but is this anyway to try to lure LeBron James to the Knicks?

  1. It's been at least a couple months. Perhaps you should hire a Postal District correspondent?

  2. I think it closed about a month ago. I work about three blocks away. Hopefully the Riese people won't snatch it up.

  3. Really? I thought you don't like "fratholes".

  4. @Poorform -- Or a Bikini Bar Correspondent?

@ Thanks, Marty. I haven't been up this way since late winter. From the look of things inside, it appeared the place had been closed for awhile..

@Anon You're correct. Deno's had more of a menacing undercurrent than your typical frathole establishment, though. Seemed to be a place for aspiring racketeers ...I appreciated the unbalanced crowd.

  5. @Anon: To me this place was more like the crowd at the Distinguished Wakamba Lounge. Kind of dicey, kind of weird and kind of fun to sit and drink around.

  6. I know it had closed before March 24th, 2010, my 40th birthday, when i was devastated to not be able to have a nightcap there...
