Photo of the week



I love this shot that appears in The East Villager this week by J.B. Nicholas. The caption: "Rosario Dawson, standing next to Speaker Sheldon Silver, couldn’t restrain her enthusiasm at the groundbreaking for the new Lower Eastside Girls Club headquarters."

I was trying to think of a funny headline for it, but, well, ended up with Photo of the Week. D-

    Rosario who ? They give this chick way too much press. A few independent movies. She is no celebrity.

    she might not be a-list, but she was born and raised in a squat in the EV. She's made something of herself and continues to give back to her community. She uses her celebrity cache for good and is a true activist. Would you have preferred the Girls Club have Kim Kardashian or Nicole Kidman? Come on
