Duran Duran still draws a crowd

Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes stopped by Mark Ronson’s Authentic Sh*t on East Village Radio tonight... and... Wooooo!

  1. Grieve,

That headline would have worked had you simply:

    a) mentioned that 75 people or so were standing at the storefront.

    b) taken a photo of the fans on the sidewalk

Anyway, I always preferred Arcadia and the Power Station.

    Thanks for the comment.

    a) I think you get the idea that there is a lot of hustle-and-bustle going on. Just look at Simon's face — that is not the look of a man standing in front of an empty sidewalk.

    b) It was a little too dark to get a crowd shot, in my estimation.

As for Arcadia and The Power Station, you are entitled to your opinions. There were a few good singles on those records. However, these groups were created to do nothing more than soak DD fans of more money. Even though I do like Robert Palmer (RIP). I find it difficult to argue against DD's entire body of work.

  3. I was a rabid Duran Duran fan in my teens; right at the perfect moment when they were at their height. It's a shame to see Nick a little long in the tooth these days. But John still looks as handsome as ever! :-D
