Why you won't be getting anywhere by bus today

Samo sends along a photo of another stuck bus — this one on Avenue A at Third Street. Samo notes the driver is inside reading a book.

  2. Makes you wonder why they even tried. Now lets hope a fire truck doesn't need to get through.

  3. encroyable! I remember the big blizzard in the 90's and having to walk in the middle of 14th Street to be the only person to show up at my place of employment! Of course, I was the one with the keys...
But, then again, it was events like this that reminded us all that Manhattan was a collection of little places and that's when our human spirit could shine!
    Bon Courage, tout le monde!

  5. More MTA ineptitude. They are so ass-backwards. Wish they could show this kind of dedication and persistence on a normal workaday bus route, where it really might be of use to riders.

  6. Even if the bus made it, there was no way to climb the mountain of snow at the bus stop. I saw alot of people standing in the street, which wasn't safe with all the vehicular slipping and sliding...
