Avenue A now an M14 graveyard

There are currently two M14 buses stranded on Avenue A — one at Ninth Street the other at 10th Street...

The bus at Ninth Street appears to be empty... but the driver is still in his bus at 10th Street... A reader said that he has been there now for 12 hours, stuck, waiting for help. The reader brought the driver a protein bar and apple. Another resident brought the driver coffee.

Updated: A reader says there's another bus stranded on 14th Street and First Avenue.

  2. Twelve hours!?!??? This is how our beloved MTA is taking care of its workers??? Utterly inhumane and unbelievable management 'skills'.

  3. I walked to Xoom from Grand Street this morning and saw a stranded M14 on A and maybe 5th? Needless to say I didn't see any M14 buses actually running from Grand to 7th.

  6. OMG, how terrible! Thanks to the nice people bringing food to the driver.

And to you, EVG, for keeping us updated. I've been unable to leave my house and my bf is stranded upstate - because of your site, I'm able to send him updates on the condition of the neighborhood.

  7. I'll bet he's getting lots of overtime. And he may want it to make his Christmas merry. Good that he's getting food!
