A post-blizzard walk around Tompkins Square Park
Took a walk around Tompkins Square Park this morning. Not much going on! Given the drifting, difficult to say just how much snow is on the ground — 16 to 22 inches, maybe?

Does anyone know how much snow fell? There was so much blowing around last night, maybe it's hard to measure.
ReplyDeleteGot your snow shoes? I attempted a 'walk' this morning but didn't get very far. I'm hoping this storm means a huge snowman population surge in Tompkins Square Park...
Good question, Goggla... the two-day snowfall record of 26.9 inches was set in February 2006... I bet that we beat that one.
ReplyDeleteAh, ABC just said there were 20.5' in Central Park last night, setting a record for December snow storms since the 19th century.
