Why some people really hate 'Gossip Girl' right about now

'Gossip Girl' is back to film in the neighborhood... with signs up on St. Mark's Place, Ninth Street and 10th Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue...

And we've heard grumbling from people who had to dig out of snowbound parking spaces this weekend and attempt to find somewhere else to stow their cars...

  1. it's not just the parking.
there's the "me first, superior" attitude of most tv & film folks. and i'll never understand why they have to yell at each other for "quiet".
they have no consideration for the folks that live on the blocks they use for their filming. they rarely shop in the local stores.
and their trucks knock branches and limbs off the poor street trees.
    don't get me started.

  2. I can't believe anyone who lives in the East Village has a car. If you want to own a car, move to the burbs, people!

  3. Not much sympathy there. Street parking is hardly a civil right. Perhaps situations like this will encourage more people to get rid of their cars.
