Warming up for the Supermoon

Last night...

And tonight!

Tonight's full moon will be the largest and brightest seen for 19 years, appearing 14 percent bigger and shining 30 percent more brightly than usual. (So that's 44 percent?) Here's more on Gothamist.

  1. Great photo! And thanks for the heads up on the Supermoon, I hadn't heard about it.

  2. I was so in love with the moon last night, I mentioned it to friends and saw an article about tonight's moon. In anticipation, I swooped down to J&R just an hour ago to buy a telescope just for the occasion! I'm assembling it now on the tripod. YAY!!! I'm praying the clouds dissipate enough so we have a lovely view tonight!
