One of our Twitter friends sent us this Craigslist ad posted yesterday afternoon... the "open call" is tomorrow from noon to 2 p.m. at the former Cooper Square Hotel...


THE STANDARD, EAST VILLAGE is seeking experienced Servers, Bartenders, Barbacks, Bussers and Hosts for all shifts in our Restaurant.

Candidates must have experience in high volume restaurants, and steady work history.

About you:

• You have superb communication skills.

• You have a cheerful and outgoing personality.

• You know how to be discreet.

• You are organized and can multi-task without breaking a sweat.

    I wonder if "steady work history" applies to those who have been unemployed recently. Does anyone know the salary?

    @Goggla - It's probably shift pay + tips. A friend of mine worked at the Sunset Standard years ago and did alright. It wasn't her dream job, but she served enough big tipping celebs to make it tolerable.

    I'm guessing they aren't going too hardcore about gaps. What does matter is that you have some fairly recent experience, preferably at a high-volume, trendy place, and how you look. Honestly, if you're really cute, restaurant/bar experience might not even matter.
